The Sydney Swans reserves will face their toughest challenge so far in the fledgling 2012 NEAFL season when they go up against the Gold Coast Suns reserves at the SCG from 10.35am tomorrow morning.

The Suns ran over the top of the Swans to record a 79-point win the last time the two sides met at Metricon Stadium last year, and the Swans always relish the prospect of testing themselves against AFL opposition.

Harry Cunningham and Andrejs Everitt will play for the Swans after featuring in senior action in round one, while Jordan Lockyer has been named for his first home and away game as a Swan after recovering from a knee injury.

Tony Armstrong continues building his game time after an injury interrupted pre-season and will be looking to continue the good form he showed in last week’s practice match against GWS at Blacktown.

After training with the senior side during the week, QBE Sydney Swans Academy under-18 players Stephen Wray, Rory Pryor, Lachlan Kilpatrick and Brandon Jack will all get their chance to implement what they’ve learnt when they take to the field on the SCG.

The Swans kicked off the NEAFL season with a convincing 118-point win over UWS at ANZ Stadium a fortnight ago.
