Besides Parker, midfielders Craig Bird and Brett Meredith and ruckman Mike Pyke are the other additions to the Swans squad.
Ruckman Mark Seaby, who was used at the substitute in last Sunday’s draw with Melbourne is out of the side.
Coach John Longmire said Seaby had played only 20 minutes last week and didn’t play in a practice game the weekend before, so the Club needed to manage his fitness and give him more game time in the reserves.
Parker, a tough inside midfielder, has been impressive during the pre-season and played well in last week’s reserves practice match against Belconnnen.
Meredith and Bird would both add run to the side if they are selected in the final 22.
“Meredith is a quality player and Craig Bird was a regular part of the senior side until he was struck down with a foot problem, so if he’s in the team we hope he can come back in and make a real contribution,’’ Longmire said.
Pyke was a strong performer in last weekend’s reserves match, taking the ruck duties but also going forward to kick a couple of goals.
The 25-man squad will be trimmed to the final 22 tomorrow afternoon.
