Sydney Swans coach John Longmire said his list management team was continuously looking at areas of the list that the club could improve.

Development of players, the final figure on the salary cap for next season and a full off-season schedule of trade and draft periods is still to be announced by the league.

Longmire said his focus for the time being was on trying to coach his side the best he could through the remainder of the season.

“At the moment the priority is to finish the season especially going into a really condensed and shortened period of the season so that will take up a fair bit of time,” he said.

“The list management group works on the side and are constantly looking at areas that we need to improve.”

Longmire said the Club was always looking to get better despite some exciting young talent coming through this season.

“There are always areas on your list, no matter where you are on the ladder, that you would like to improve,” he said.

“We clearly have some areas that we would like to improve.”

“We have had the second youngest team in the competition at the moment and almost every game this year we have been younger than our opponents.”

“We feel like we have some youth coming through but there are certainly areas that we need to look at.”

Longmire said it was too early to outline the exact needs of the club with decisions still to be made on the salary cap for season 2021.

“You do need to take everything into consideration including your salary cap and so it is not as simple as saying that is an area of our list we want to improve and getting that done,” he said.

“There are a whole heap of things that need to be considered so those discussions have been happening."
