Sydney Swans forward Sam Reid will be unavailable until the bye however defender Lewis Melican could return to action this week when Sydney faces Carlton in Marn Grook at the SCG.
Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services Damian Raper provides the latest on Swans squad with updates on Tom Hickey, Robbie Fox, Lewis Melican, Sam Reid and Ben Ronke.
ROUND 10 RECAP
We had two minor concerns out of the game.
Tom Hickey, he had a knock to his previously injured PCL knee. It hurt him initially but he was able to get through the game really well.
Robbie Fox had a scratch to his eye, and unfortunately he wasn’t able to continue the game and we used the medical-sub. He will be seen by a specialist this week with a decision made on his availability for our game against Carlton coming up.
SAM REID
Sam is progressing slowly at the moment, unfortunately. At this point in time, he wont be returning before the bye.
LEWIS MELICAN
Lewis is going well returning from his hamstring strain. He is going to test in training this week and hopefully be available to play Carlton.
BEN RONKE
Ben Ronke is going to return this week through the VFL. He has had a really long rehab for his knee pain, he has had some patellofemoral joint pain but he has done really well through his rehab and we look forward to Ben returning this week.
