Senior coach John Longmire has made three changes to his lineup ahead of a Round 23 clash with the Adelaide Crows.

Co-captain Dane Rampe will inject experience into the side after sustaining a calf injury in Round 20 against Essendon. Joel Amartey, who is undergoing rehabilitation from a hamstring injury, will be replaced by up-and-comer Jack Buller.

Buller joined the Sydney Swans during the mid-season draft as a towering key forward. He impressed in the VFL and was quick to earn a place in the senior side, making his AFL debut in Round 14 against the Brisbane Lions.

The 22-year-old continued to show his dominance in the reserves side proving he is up for the challenge again. Buller is a prolific goal scorer in the VFL, kicking two majors in last week's clash with the Gold Coast Suns, and in the week prior booting four goals to secure a win over the GWS Giants.

Braeden Campbell also re-enters the team after a one-week suspension.

Sydney will compete in their final away game of the regular season as it searches for it's sixth consecutive win during Nick Blakey's 100th career game. Despite having an edge over the Adelaide Crows in their last two meetings - winning by 33 in both 2021 and 2022 - Longmire admits Adelaide is in form.

"They play a really honest brand of footy," he told Swans TV.

"We need to be on our game to try and keep it out of their forward line as much as we can because they’re able to score quickly."

The Swans were elevated into the top eight last week after a strong outing against the Gold Coast Suns. Longmire's message to his team on the road?

"We have to concentrate on our strengths. We're looking forward to the contest."

The red and white will return to the SCG on Sunday, August 27 for Member Thank You Round and a fiery clash with Melbourne.
