Rally for RedKite!
The Sydney Swans have been on Redkite’s team for 24 years, supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer through our annual match day.
The two organisations will once again come together to mark Redkite Day at the SCG on Sunday April 21 when the Swans face Gold Coast.
The Sydney Swans are dedicated to helping our members, fans and the community and we are asking our footy family to stand with us once again and show children with cancer we are on their team as we look to raise funds for Redkite.

Injury News
Dane Rampe, Luke Parker and Callum Mills continue their rehabilitation from their respective injuries and unfortunately Sam Reid will be sidelined.
Reid had a tight quad during the VFL match against Richmond. Following the game he was assessed and completed imaging. He has a low grade quad strain which he will have a short period of rehabilitation for.
In positive news, young midfield Angus Sheldrick will be a test to return to play in round 6 while John Longmire was pleased with Taylor Adams minutes in his club debut and how he pulled up following the game.
Longmire: They’ll take some real beating
Senior coach John Longmire says the Swans will be looking forward to testing themselves against a quality team in the Gold Coast Suns this weekend.
The Swans come off a bye and enter the clash with a 4-1 record this season and face an in-form Suns line up who are coming off a 53-point victory over Hawthorn last weekend. The Suns have a 3-2 record this season.
“We looked at the Gold Coast last week and their stats are through the roof. Their pressure stats, their turnovers, their ability to be able to score, everything around their game is really sound,” said Longmire.
"I just think they're a talented team. You look at their talent, but also their work rate. Their pressure on the weekend was 1.91, which is through the roof. They're a talented team, but they're also a team that works really hard and is hard and tough.
"All those combined means that you need to be playing well and you've got to be playing well."
Milestones
It’s a big Sunday of footy as Brodie Grundy and Logan McDonald celebrate milestones.
Grundy is set to play his 200th game while young forward Logan McDonald is set to play his 50th AFL game.
Three games of footy this weekend
There is three huge game of footy this weekend! For the first time this calendar year, the Sydney Swans VFLW, VFL and AFL sides will be in action playing for competition points.
Kicking things off on Saturday (April 20) afternoon, the Swans will host the Casey Demons at Blacktown International Sportspark from 1:05pm. The team enters the clash with two wins over the past fortnight and Scott Gowans will have his side ready for another contest.
Following a bye last week, the VFL side will play a curtain raiser at the SCG against the Gold Coast Suns. First bounce is at 9:05am and a great way to view some of the young talent coming through the red and white.
A huge afternoon is then capped off when the AFL side hosts the Gold Coast Suns from 1pm.
