The Sydney Swans have joined Addi Road - our Multicultural Inclusion partner - to bring smiles and cheer to those in need during the holiday season.

This month, players and staff joined the organisation to pack 2,000 Christmas Hampers for Hope to surprise people and families experiencing distress this season.

Nearly one-in-five Australian households are skipping meals and in over a million households, adults are going whole days without anything to eat. The hardest hit being single parents and welfare recipients.

Addi Road is a grassroots charity organisation that rescue food, fight hunger, and stand in solidarity with diverse communities in times of need. Every week they divert over 6 tonnes of food from landfill and provide food for more than 8000 people through their Addi Road Food Pantries in Marrickville and Camperdown and our Addi Road Food Relief Hub.

The Sydney Swans have been a close part of the Addi Road family since 2020 when former players Kieren Jack and Nick Smith volunteered.

Since then, Head of Player Wellbeing & Development and former club captain Brett Kirk, has been a key collaborator in supporting the local initiative.

We thank our Sydney Swans members who chose to donate their 2024 member packs, which have been included in this year’s hampers. In 2025 you can choose to ‘Go Green’ to help reduce our carbon footprint.
