The Sydney Swans enter the last day of the trade period having improved their draft position with two completed trades.
Young forward Xavier Richards will be looking for a new home after requesting a trade earlier this week.
Richards is yet to nominate a home but has indicated his desire to return home to Victoria.
“We’ve been in discussions with Xavier’s management through the back end of the year and to this point we haven’t been able to come to terms,” Head of Football Tom Harley said earlier this week.
“We will work with Xavier and his management to find a mutually beneficial outcome.”
Richards will be aiming to find his way to a new club before Thursday’s 2pm deadline.
Out of contract forward Dean Towers has an offer in front of him and is classed as a required player but has decided to weigh up his options throughout the trade period.
In the first trade completed by the Club this trade period Tom Mitchell found his way to Hawthorn along with pick 57 in exchange for pick 14 and 52.
On Wednesday the Swans found ruckman Toby Nankervis a new home in his search for more senior opportunities.
Nankervis joins Richmond in exchange for pick 46 in a move that further strengthens the Swans draft position.
The Swans will hold picks 14, 17, 39, 46, 52 and 93 at next month’s draft.
Sydneyswans.com.au will have all the news involving the Swans in the lead up to Thursday's 2pm deadline.
