A key defender delisted by the Sydney Swans at the completion of season 2019 and redrafted as a rookie. Maibaum ruptured his ACL on the eve of the 2019 campaign but had clearly shown enough potential over his first two seasons as an AFL footballer. Originally recruited from the Eastern Ranges with pick 45 at the 2016 AFL Draft, Maibaum is yet to make his AFL debut but has played strong footy in the NEAFL.
