Mumford cleared for Grand Final
Swans ruckman Shane Mumford is free to play in Saturday's Grand Final
GRAND Final week will be without any dramatic tribunal hearings after the Match Review Panel found no cases to answer from both preliminary finals.
An incident involving Sydney Swans ruckman Shane Mumford and Collingwood's Chris Dawes was assessed but the MRP determined there was no reportable offence and the charge was dismissed.
Incidents Assessed:
Contact between the Sydney Swans' Shane Mumford and Collingwood's Chris Dawes from the second quarter of Friday's match was assessed. Mumford and Dawes are in the goal square and Mumford jostles Dawes for position as the ball is to be kicked in for a shot at goal. There is clear video footage of the incident. After viewing the footage, it was the view of the MRP that no reportable offence had occurred.
