The hallowed turf of the SCG provided the perfect setting for the Sydney Swans to officially launch season 2016 – a historic year for the Club’s principal partner QBE Australia.
It’s 30 years since the insurer joined forces with the Swans, marking one of the longest-standing sponsorships in Australian sport.
This partnership was celebrated under the setting sun and towering stands of the SCG complete with fireworks and a beautifully made cake.
Members of the 2016 playing list made an appearance while coach John Longmire and co-captain Kieren Jack answered questions about the upcoming season on stage.
