It will be an emotional Hawthorn outfit that take to the MCG on Friday night in support of their great mate, Jarryd Roughead.
The football world has rallied to show its support for the premiership star, who will be unavailable to play indefinitely as he undergoes treatment for a recurrence of a melanoma.
The Hawks will also be missing skipper Luke Hodge, who continues to recover from a knee injury, but the side will be buoyed by the return of Cyril Rioli, who missed Hawthorn’s last match due to family reasons.
Hawthorn General Manager – Football Operations Chris Fagan said Rioli’s an important inclusion for a big Friday night game against the Swans.
“It’s great to have Cyril back,” Fagan told the Hawks website.
“We were pleased he was able to return to the Northern Territory last week to deal with a family illness, and he’s come back in a really good frame of mind.
“Cyril has trained this week and will be looking forward to Friday night."
Daniel Howe is the player that makes way from the Hawks line up in place of Rioli.
Both sides currently sit at a 6-2 record for the season with a top four spot up for grabs for the victor on Friday night.
The Hawks are riding high on momentum after coming off back-to-back wins against Fremantle and Richmond.
